One Response to “Sparks fly at TimesLedger/CNG public advocate debate”

I expect to cast my vote for Eric Gioia for public advocate, and I believe he will win. Gioia has an impressive resume, and as city council member, often fought for our most vulnerable and needy citizens. During the past eight years, Eric Gioia has championed the very causes that one would hope to see tackled by our city’s public advocate.

I have voted for Norman Siegel in the past, but he seems incapable of running a winning campaign. Too bad, because he would be outstanding if he could get elected.

Bill de Blasio lost my vote when he expressed his support for eminent domain for commercial gain.

Mark Green? He’s the best public advocate that this city has ever had. But that’s only because Betsy Gottbaum was a disaster, and we’ve only had two people hold that office. The high point of Mark Green’s career was when he was the Consumer Protection Commissioner, a long, long time ago.

Eric Gioia will serve the people best.
