Former City Councilman Anthony Como is accusing state Sen. Joseph Addabbo (D-Howard Beach), whom he is challenging this fall, of not standing up for the district he represents by not speaking out against the alleged leak of a memo by one of Addabbo’s colleagues about the video lottery terminal contract at Aqueduct.

State Sen. John Sampson (D-Brooklyn), the Democratic leader of the Senate, acknowledged sending a memo to a former colleague-turned-lobbyist representing Aqueduct Entertainment Group that led to AEG changing the terms of its bid for the video lottery terminal contract at Aqueduct.

Just as it looked as if state Sen. Joseph Addabbo (D-Howard Beach) would be free of opponents for re-election in a contentious western Queens district, former City Councilman Anthony Como,a Republican, said he would challenge the one-term senator.
