The major question here is what harm is being done? Are the young people getting sick? Are they being found driving under the influence of this stuff? Are they better off then consumers of beer and wine from the same bodegas? Do the users beat their spouses when high and crash into people with their cars?

I know no one more caring and generous to his community than Peter Koo; and this has been the case since long before he entered politics. The man even donates his City salary to community nonprofit organizations.
I sat close to the banter described in this article, and believe the Councilman was expressing his displeasure with generalized complaints not expressed for the purpose of reaching a solution. His door has always been open to those wanting to constructively address Flushing's problems.

Athens Archbishop Christodoulos said we deserved 9/11 (ISBN 960-252-007-8). On the Thursday before Easter Greeks chant pogrom inciting Beatitudes against "godslaying lawless Jews"in Greek, but change it to "Assemby of Jews" in English. They removed American Archbishop Iakovos because he was too American and Jerusalem Patriarch Irineos because he was too friendly with Israelis. Old witches who used to work at diners until they dropped now slip "Elder Protocols" and other terror claptrap in the pews. When I was growing up priests, would bathe, shave, wear pants - Robed, bearded, stovetopped priest is terror sympathist by definition. Greece was only euronation not to vote for 1947 Israel creation. In such time of war, we should insist that any public assembly of more than ten mandatorily be only in English! These heathen necromantic iconolaters have the nerve to ban Psalm 150 organs? If the Greek government did an Enron with its own books, and Greeks Trojan Horse their Greek taxes, what makes you think they pay the IRS? They go to Greece annually to tend their undisclosed accounts on soviet Cyprus. Notice the soviet spy money laundered Metsos disappeared with Cyprus complicity? Did Illinois Giannoulias, Florida's Crist, California's Angelides and New York's Gianaris apply Greek budgeting techniques like Sarbanes Oxen? Greek Ponzi fourfold Eurodefecit boasts Trojan Horse Perfidy, Klephth Brigandage. Upset that industrious Albanians invaded their lazy, gungrabbing, babykilling homeland, the soviet-churched Greeks vindictively hire, house and promote illegals. As quakes render their homes disposable, Greeks are oblivious to the very concept of maintenance. Instead of blaming environmetalists for fires and socialists for deficits, jealousy driven soviet faith seeks scapegoats. Olympia Snowjob supports Obamacare and abortion because of her gangreen patriarch (Is Orthodox Christianity progressive? Michelle Boorstein Washington Post 11-4-09 Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew spoke about the spiritual imperative for nonviolence, universal health care and reducing consumption to help the environment.) Ancient Greeks reduced consumption to help the environment through infanticide and sodomy. Palamite Zealotes massacred Thessalonian aristocracy in preparation for Cantacuzene usurpation via hesychast hyperventilatory hallucination. This soviet socialism motivated Anatolian farmers to embrace Turks in the 1400s to avoid redistributative taxation and then for liberated mainlanders to migrate to Smyrna in the 1800s.

Clear evidence was submitted by me firmly establishing that my campaign donation was personal and not corporate. Furthermore, the donation was indeed returned to me. And so, there was no cause whatsoever for CFB to fine Hon. Elizabeth Crowley's campaign re this matter; nor should any such suggestion be implied.

It is interesting that the issue that tearing down the current building would leave the congregation no where to meet was tucked at the end of the article. This is an even bigger issue now that the New York Public Schools have banned use of school buildings for Church meetings. Where will the congregations meet while a new building is being built if the current one is torn down. Historically it has been realized that Churches are part of single-family uses, and the attempt to exclude churches from a single-family homes neighborhood is disturbing.

When New Jersey passes the Casino Control Act 1n 1977, it allowed persons to gamble at 18, which was the legal age for drinking. Soon after casinos opened, the State raised the drinking age to 21. The casino industry then backed legislation that also raised the casino age to 21.

Sure, everyone loves to gamble . . . if they win. But, the person sitting next to you in church, the man in line at the grocery store, or one of your co-workers; any one of these could be involved with a gambling problem. Imagine your grandmother committing a crime to support her gambling addiction. I am a recovering alcoholic, gambler, and have recovered from other addictive behaviors. I published a book, Gripped by Gambling, where the readers can follow the destructive path of the compulsive gambler, a prison sentence, and then on to the recovery road.

I recently published a second book, Switching Addictions, describing additional issues that confront the recovering addict. If a person who has an addictive personality, doesn’t admit to at least two addictions, he’s not being honest. Until the underlying issues have been resolved, the person will continue to switch addictions. These are two books you might consider adding to your library. I also publish a free online newsletter, Women Helping Women, which has been on-line for more than twelve years and is read by hundreds of women (and men) from around the world. (www.femalegamblers.info). I have been interviewed many times, and appeared on the 60 Minutes show in January 2011, which was moderated by Leslie Stahl.

Sincerely,

Marilyn Lancelot

Combining Express Scripts and Medco is an opportunity for two leading pharmacy benefit managers to apply private-sector know-how to solve our country’s biggest healthcare challenge: lowering cost while raising quality.
By joining complementary strengths, the merger will benefit patients, employers and managed care plans, leading to safer and more affordable medicines.
PBMs play a central role in healthcare. We drive out fraud, waste and abuse while lowering costs and improving health outcomes. We increase adherence to prescribed medicines, identify and correct prescription errors, and promote cost-effective delivery. Our efforts save billions of dollars and extend millions of lives. In New York alone over the next decade, PBMs will produce $86.1 billion in savings for employer plans plus $49.2 billion for Medicare Part D, according to the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association.
By lowering healthcare costs for employers, we help boost employment and preserve employee benefits.
Neighborhood pharmacies have been and always will be essential partners in advancing our mission. More than 60,000 pharmacies of all sizes participate in our retail network, including 90 percent of all independent pharmacies. And contrary to a quote in your article, neither Express Scripts nor Medco is or ever has been affiliated with any large pharmacy chain.
Express Scripts and Medco have well-established histories of doing what’s right for patients. The merger would accelerate our ability to do even more.
You might also like to know that Express Scripts, too, is a local business. We employ 354 in the state of New York, most at our prescription processing center in Troy.

A free standing Emergency Room is the wrong term for what is being set up in Greenwich Village.
An Emergency Room treats life-threatening situations. The proposed Greenwich Village facility will send people with life-threatening emergencies cross-town from 10th or 7th Avenues to a real Emergency Room on First Avenue.
What is being set up in Greenwich Village is doctors offices imaging centers and some doctors who can treat non-life threatening situations. May God help those who are in a fire or automobile accident, an asthma attack or heart attack. These people will most likely die.
God needs to help them because Cuomo certainly hasn't.

There is an urgent need in Manhattan for hospitals now, too, with the closing of St. Vincent's. The proposed establishment of a two-bed emergency facility at the St. Vincent's site is NOT a solution, in contradiction to Rep. Crowley's statement ("creating a free-standing emergency room like the one being set up at the former site of Manhattan’s St. Vincent Hospital in Greenwich Village"). Are you kidding? We need a real hospital, and so do the people of Queens. A free-standing emergency room is a joke. You need all the services a hospital provides, including the care that the emergency-room diagnostics will call for. Otherwise you have a situation like an escalator that leads up to nowhere. That isn't a "creative" solution, as the Representative calls it. You have to get realistic and stop caving to the greedy developers who replace hospitals with whatever they think will pay them handsomely (as with the luxury condos planned for most of the St. Vincent's site!). This is criminal. Don't let them get away with that. We have an area of Manhattan that has, easily, about 1.5 million people a day, and which now is without a hospital, and they plan to give us just a two-bed facility!

Yoohoo! Anybody listening?

If they are TSA employees they will only be accomplices to the screeners abusing travelers and won't offer any protection to the victim.

The advocates need to be local police in a position to stop passenger abuse and arrest screeners who exceed their authority.
