Friedrich, who is challenging Assemblyman David Weprin (D-Little Neck) in this year’s Democratic primary — Friedrich lost to Weprin in a February special election for the seat — said he made the suggestions on his own and the TLC did not ask for his input.

State Assemblyman David Weprin’s (D-Little Neck) vote to deny the city Police Department use of a stop-and-frisk database has come under fire from his primary opponent, Glen Oaks Village President Bob Friedrich, who said the law makes communities less safe.

The recently shuttered Q79 bus line that ran from Little Neck to Floral Park is being considered for the Taxi and Limousine Commission’s group ride livery program and both City Councilman Mark Weprin (D-Oakland Gardens) and Weprin family archnemesis Bob Friedrich are taking credit for the development.
